Wait, Your Soda Doesn't Have Fiber?
Nope. Our soda doesn't have fiber.
We'll give you a second to recover.
Sometime in the last few years, soda picked up a side hustle.
Suddenly every can had a résumé. Prebiotics. Probiotics. Adaptogens. Vitamins. Fiber. Things we'd previously encountered almost exclusively while standing in the supplement aisle.
And listen, we're all for fiber, we just don't necessarily need to drink ours.
Whatever Happened to Just Making Really Good Soda?
Louie Pop! started with a remarkably unscientific question: "Can we make a soda everybody actually wants to drink?"
Not a wellness supplement disguised as cola. Not 40 grams of sugar and a list of ingredients you need a chemistry degree to pronounce.
Just a really good craft soda made with real ingredients.
So that's what we did.
Louie Pop! is made with real fruit juice, natural cane sugar and a small touch of monk fruit.
Better-for-You Doesn't Have to Mean More Stuff
“Better-for-you soda” has become an entire category, and increasingly, that means adding something functional to the can.
We took a slightly different approach. What if better could also mean simpler?
What if you could make soda with ingredients selected because they make a great soda, rather than because they give us another benefit to squeeze onto the front of the can?
Radical, we know.
We care deeply about ingredients. We just care about taste too (maybe even more).
Flavor Is Our Functional Ingredient
Our original recipes started in a New Orleans kitchen with homemade syrups, seasonal fruit and inspiration pulled from Southern cookbooks.
That's how we ended up with flavors like Blackberry Lemon, Ginger Cucumber, Strawberry Lemon and Hibiscus Cherry rather than another vaguely healthy interpretation of root beer.
They're bright, refreshing and a little unexpected.
Soda Can Just Be Soda
There is absolutely a place for functional beverages. And sometimes? You want a soda.
One you can hand to your kid and then grab another for yourself. One that belongs at dinner, at the neighborhood party, in the beach cooler and next to a plate of something fried.
One made with good ingredients and phenomenal flavor without trying to optimize you.
Call it craft soda. Call it better-for-you soda. Call it the drink you keep stocked because everyone in the house likes it.
We're good with all three.
Just don't call it a fiber supplement.
